Search Console Indexing Checklist
Internal guide for submitting PPSHTX sitemaps and monitoring the new property management maintenance cluster.
1. Submit sitemap
- Open Google Search Console and submit https://ppshtx.com/sitemap.xml.
- Confirm the status reads “Success” and log the submission date.
2. Priority URL inspection order
- houston-property-maintenance.php
- dallas-property-maintenance.php
- fort-worth-property-maintenance.php
- make-ready-houston.php
- blog.php
After those primary URLs, request indexing for each of the nine blog posts listed in partials/blog-posts.php.
3. What to watch for (weekly)
- Indexed vs. not indexed status for each key page.
- Sitemap discovery count vs. indexed URLs.
- Performance for queries like “property management maintenance,” “make ready vendor,” and city-specific searches.
- Any coverage issues or canonical mismatches that surface.
4. If a page won’t index
- Check that robots.txt allows the URL.
- Verify the canonical tag points to the production URL.
- Ensure the page returns HTTP 200.
- Confirm the URL is included in sitemap.xml.
- Fix any issues, then re-request indexing.
5. Expansion cadence
- Wait 2–4 weeks of Search Console data before adding new pages.
- Only expand content around queries that already show impressions.
